Product History

When working with products in Inntopia RMS, you can easily see which product was the last one viewed or edited during a user session, who the last person was to edit a product, and the time and day the last edit took place.

To help users find where they left off when viewing or editing a long list of active or inactive products, the name of the last product viewed is highlighted in orange and the last edited product is indicated with a pencil icon.

The last viewed highlight appears when you view product details or settings.

The last edited icon appears when you edit and save changes to product details or settings.

If a product is viewed and subsequently edited and saved, that product is indicated as the last viewed and last edited.

The last viewed and last edited indicators are only visible during your current RMS session; therefore, if you log out of your user session, the last viewed and last edited product indicators will not be visible the next time you log in.

Notes: The last viewed and/or last edited product may not be on the page you're looking at if:
  • Your last viewed or edited product was an inactive product and you turn off the option to view inactive products (and vice versa).
  • You have multiple pages of products, and you navigate to a page that product is not on (product is on page one and you navigate to page two).

Last edited history can be viewed for products that have been edited since the feature was added to RMS (February 5, 2019). When you edit a product, the edit history is updated the next time you open the Products page.

  1. From the RMS home page, click the Products tab. The Products page appears.
  2. Click the Show Edit History check box. The Last Edited and Edited By columns appear with edit history information displayed for any products that have been edited since February 5, 2019.

    3. • Last Edited – Date and time of the last edit made to a product. The time is shown in your local time zone.

    • Edited By – Full name or user name of the person who made the last edit to the product.

  3. To close the Edit History columns, uncheck the Show Edit History box.
